Can hypnosis improve your sales team’s performance?

There are many problems that sales team employees face, which could affect their performance, such as lack of confidence, poor focus on tasks, and ineffective management. Quite often, sales employees will have formed bad habits learned in other employment and it is difficult to get out of this sort of behaviour. When attempting to improve sales team success, companies may not consider hypnosis therapy as an option, but it can be used as an effective tool to aid efficiency and replace the bad habits with good habits.

Hypnotherapy can help corporate businesses and sales teams with a variety of productivity and performance issues. It is important to note that, in the modern corporate market, the correct mindset is just as important as a relevant skillset.

Both the ‘Mindset for Business’ and ‘Hypnosis Meets Sales’ programmes can assist sales teams in corporate business settings. The programmes focus on building rapport with customers, dealing with customer complaints, and tackling employee engagement, which also includes making sure that managers are involved in the training process. The hypnotherapy programmes also utilise mindfulness, taking on a specific mindset and using daily tools to help sales team employees achieve clarity and focus on what is important for the business and what needs to be prioritised. Brain training, following structured guidelines and role play exercises are also covered in the programme.

A Growing Market for Hypnotherapy as a Smoking Cessation Method

In recent years, more and more people are seeking to quit smoking, usually with the aid of a range of smoking cessation products. There may be an abundance of potential clients in your area who are not aware of hypnotherapy as an alternative or additional means of stopping smoking. Consequently, today’s market could represent a great opportunity to watch your hypnotherapy business grow.

Smoking Cessation Market Value

The smoking cessation market value is showing a recovery from decreasing figures in recent years. The global market value for nicotine de-addiction and smoking cessation products was worth more than 7 billion US dollars in 2015 and is set to rise to $21.8 billion by 2024. The main reason for an increase in the market is the realisation that smoking is a leading factor in causing numerous health issues such as respiratory problems, heart disease and lung cancer.

How much do people spend on smoking cessation products and services?

According to the NHS, people spend around £3000 a year on smoking. Though sales of smoking cessation aids fell in 2015 and 2016, the figure rose to £141.4 million in 2017, showing that the population is keen to quit. NHS statistics from 2016 show that 15.5% of adults aged over 18 currently smoke, which is a reduction from a figure of 19.9% in 2010. The findings also indicate that tobacco is less affordable, with people spending less money, in terms of household expenses, on tobacco related products. This indicates that, as well as reducing health risks, people may want to stop smoking to save money. Research shows that out of all the people who tried to quit smoking in the first 6 months of 2017, 20% were successful (i.e. they had not smoked consecutively for the previous 12 months).

A Business Opportunity

Smoking is a difficult habit to break and most people will probably try to stop more than once. This group of people may be the perfect target market for hypnosis therapy, as they may be more willing to try other methods of quitting, if nicotine patches, e-cigarettes or other smoking cessation methods have not worked. Hypnotherapy is an alternative method that can be used to help people change their attitude towards smoking and replace self-perpetuating habits with positive reinforcement to quit.

Though e-cigarettes have seen an increase in popularity over the past few years, people are not necessarily buying them to quit smoking, with some using them in conjunction with other smoking cessation methods or simply as well as cigarettes. Additionally, we do not yet know if using e-cigarettes, or vaping, has any long-term health risks. Most reports on the smoking cessation market focus on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), drug therapy and e-cigarettes. This means that there is a gap in the market, which could be filled by hypnotherapy. Additionally, hypnotherapy can be used alongside existing smoking cessation products, to ease the transition into leaving the addiction behind.

The area in which sales of smoking cessation products contributed most to the market is North America, with Europe following and Asia being the fastest growing market for products such as e-cigarettes. A British Medical Journal study published in June 2016 found that, on average, it may take a person at least 30 attempts to completely stop smoking. Though the study made clear that this could mean that a person could quit on the first attempt, it also implies that there are many people who will try to quit successively many more than 30 times. This selection of people could add to your weekly clientele as they may find hypnotherapy beneficial alongside methods that they have already tried. With changing attitudes to smoking, such as a recognition of the health risks involved, leading many smokers to quit or at least want to quit, it is likely that there will be many potential clients in your area.

A New Year and Fresh Start for your Business

The start of the year provides an opportunity for you to improve business practices and embark on specialising in a specific area of hypnotherapy. By specialising, you can build a reputation as a skilled practitioner in one or more areas of hypnosis therapy. This will generate new clients and allow you to build up your connections with other hypnotherapists, through training, thus growing your business.

Weight Loss and Weight Management

In 2014, 29 million Britons attempted to lose weight via exercise or diets. A considerable amount of money is spent each year on diets, weight loss programmes and weight management schemes, with many people failing to control their weight using these methods. This means that there is a large market of potential customers to convert to long-term clients. Both the Virtual Gastric Band and Hypnosis Weight Maintenance programmes are a great way to pick up new clients and expand your business.

Become a Virtual Gastric Band Practitioner

Specialising as a Virtual Gastric Band (VGB) practitioner will give you an instant marketing avenue and help you to enhance your continuing professional development by putting your skills to use in training other hypnotherapists. VGB therapy utilises hypnosis to retrain clients’ brains, so that they can reduce food intake, effectively creating a ‘virtual’ gastric band. The VGB programme is a strong platform from which to grow your business, as it can provide the basis for further weight management therapy.

Hypnosis for Weight Maintenance

Hypnosis Weight Maintenance works as a stand-alone plan or as follow-up sessions for VGB clients. The programme will help clients to implement self-control, bolster motivation for continuous weight management, and combat the day-to day challenges of weight loss by sustaining a healthy balance between exercising and eating.

Specialise in Nutrition

The Hypnosis Meets Nutrition training programme provides knowledge about the most vital aspects of nutrition and guidance for practitioners in recognising the signs of nutrient deficiency. With a high percentage of the population being deficient in a range of nutrients, such as iron or protein, there are a wealth of potential clients to attract. By specialising in nutrition, you can help clients to seek out the most nutritionally valuable foods, which could reduce snacking behaviours in clients who are not eating what their body needs. By laying down the correct nutritional foundations, you can guide clients to make better choices when deciding what to eat and ensure that they are satisfying any nutritional deficiencies.

Help Clients Beat Sugar Addiction

Weight management includes both sugar addiction and carbohydrate addiction. With the Brain Training Guide for Beating Sugar Addiction, you can help clients to alter their automatic responses to sweet foods, resist sugar cravings and become aware of their food choices. You will be able to support clients with a set of guidelines for health eating and help them stop acting on impulses to eat sugary foods.

Breaking Habits – Smoking and Alcohol

According to NHS research, the population spends around £3000 a year on smoking. In 2015, the global market value for nicotine de-addiction and smoking cessation products was worth more than 7 billion US dollars and this is set to rise to $21.8 billion by 2024. Today’s market could represent a great opportunity to watch your business grow as there may be a wealth of potential clients in your area who are not aware of hypnotherapy as an alternative or additional means of stopping smoking.

The Virtual Quit Smoking Programme will give you the skills to alter clients’ habits, thought patterns and behaviours in connection to smoking. The tailored programme is designed to target the main reasons for smoking so that you can assist clients in bringing about permanent change.

The Reduce Alcohol Programme could be useful for clients seeking help for weight loss and weight management. Regular alcohol consumption can cause weight gain and affect a person’s health negatively in other ways, with research showing that there is no safe level of drinking alcohol. In a similar way to the VGB hypnotherapy technique, the Reduce Alcohol Programme encourages clients to make small but realistic changes to their drinking habits, giving them the motivation to take responsibility for their own health in connection to alcohol consumption.

Working with Businesses

With the Mindset for Business programme, you can coach clients in improving their business practices by creating achievable goals and allocating specific times for work to increase productivity and sales. The programme includes comprehensive training for hypnotherapists to help their local businesses, which can improve your own networking opportunities.

Coaching with Sports Teams

Another option for potential business is sports coaching. Hypnosis Meets Sports will give you the skills to present to sports clubs to highlight the benefits of hypnotherapy for athletes, to improve their confidence, build motivation and enhance sports performance. The programme includes information about how to structure talks and presentations, in addition to marketing materials.

Training programmes offered by Sheila Granger include resources that you can adapt to suit your own practice as well as scripts and guidelines created especially for each programme, so why not get in touch and choose a specialist subject today?

A New Year, A New You – Changing Habits through Hypnosis

When January comes around, many people make New Year’s resolutions but most fail to see these plans through. This may be because future resolutions are either unachievable or seem far off and simply something to worry about later. Additionally, why trust the ‘old you’ to manage how the ‘new you’ should be?

Hypnosis can allow you to focus on what you can do for yourself in the present and can help you make the long-lasting changes that could show real beneficial results in the future. There are a variety of personally improving programmes, delivered by either Sheila Granger or one of the trained practitioners, that can help you transition into the next version of yourself.

Lose Weight with a Virtual Gastric Band

The clinically trialled Advanced Gastric Band programme utilises hypnotherapy to help you to make small, realistic changes to moderate eating habits, thus creating a ‘virtual’ gastric band. The Virtual Gastric Band is a non-surgical technique, which uses the power of hypnosis to alter your appetite so that you can be satisfied with smaller amounts of food. The clinical hypnotherapy convinces the brain that the stomach is full after a certain level of intake and that there is no need for more food.

Unlike a diet, the Virtual Gastric Band allows you to eat what you want, but in smaller portions, avoiding the usual pitfalls of feeling hungry or unsatisfied with food. The Virtual Gastric Band effectively negates these issues, so you are left with a long-term solution to weight loss.

Beat Sugar Addiction

Excessive sugar consumption is a common problem amongst people seeking help for weight loss. By utilising a similar strategy to the Advanced Virtual Gastric Band programme, the Brain Training for Beating Sugar Addiction plan helps you to alter your sugar craving habits by implementing small, attainable changes.

Understand Your Hormones

The Hypnosis for Hormones programme encourages you to make simple conscious and unconscious changes. The programme will help you to identify the main hormones that influence our health and to understand how these can affect fat storage, metabolism, energy levels, sleep and chronic disease. Through this programme, you can learn about the major disruptors to hormone health and gain a heightened awareness of your own body’s needs.

Get the most out of Nutrition

Many people experience confusion when it comes to getting the correct nutritional value from food. If our bodies are not getting what they need nutritionally, then we are likely to want to eat more, even if we are full. With the Hypnosis Meets Nutrition programme, you will receive guidance on the most vital aspects of nutrition, which will help you to make healthier nutritional choices.

Gain Confidence in Sports

Some individuals find it difficult to build up the confidence and motivation to engage in sports. The Hypnosis Meets Sports programme can help you to increase self-assurance in your abilities, heighten motivation, maintain focus, improve mental toughness, prepare for competitive environments and enhance your performance in sport.

Manage your Weight

The Hypnosis Weight Maintenance programme works well in conjunction with the Virtual Gastric Band programme, but it can be used independently of this. The course will help you to manage the daily challenges of weight maintenance and focuses on cementing self-control, maintaining motivation and combining food intake with exercise. This programme can also help you to develop subconscious ‘switches’ to keep you on the right track.

Reduce Alcohol Intake

9 million people in England drink more than the recommended daily limit of alcohol. Excessive alcohol consumption can affect your health, weight and wellbeing in negative ways. The Reduce Alcohol Programme focuses on breaking down habitual alcohol drinking behaviours, gives you an awareness of your emotional responses and motivates you to take responsibility for reducing alcohol intake.

Break the Smoking Habit

The Virtual Quit Smoking programme will help you to break the addictive thought patterns and behaviours connected to smoking and allow you to alter your habits to bring about permanent change. The programme utilises tailored design to target the core reasons for smoking and to guide you through the therapy process in a personalised way.

CHAMPIONING OUR PROFESSION WITH AWARD WIN

I’m delighted to announce that I have won the ‘Business Exporter of the Year’ title at the prestigious Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Awards.

I picked up the accolade at the FSB’s Yorkshire & Humber regional awards event at the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield yesterday, and will now be shortlisted with the potential to be put through to the national finals, which will take place in May.

I’m absolutely stunned and over the moon to be recognised in this way, not just for me, but for my hypnotherapy profession.

My driving force is making hypnotherapy mainstream, so that as many people as possible can benefit from its powerful potential to transform lives for the better.

So, endorsements like this one from the FSB are important not just for me, but for all of us who practice.

I won my award for my success in building up my successful global business, which sees me teaching clinical hypnotherapy and business development techniques to thousands of fellow practitioners all over the world.

Having toured to six different countries, and addressed more than 800 conference delegates, during 2017, I’m just about to embark on my 2018 worldwide tour, with places like Switzerland, Florida and Canada on the agenda.

In fact, I’ve been living out of a suitcase ever since my pioneering ‘Virtual Gastric Band’, which helps people lose dramatic amounts of weight by re-booting the way they think, won international recognition six years ago.

Since then, I’ve built up a network of 2,500 clinical hypnotherapists, in nine countries around the world, giving them the know-how and confidence to turn their practices into business successes, using my methods.

I’ve also recently taken this one step further, by franchising my Sheila Granger brand and enabling other, carefully-selected practitioners to deliver therapist business training using my model. I now have 20 franchises in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Belgium and the United States, using my branded courses covering areas of hypnotherapy business development including marketing, business growth and financial management.

My ultimate goal is to have 200 franchises on the programme, giving me the potential to reach every hypnotherapist in the world and teach them the foundations of success.

My personal hypnotherapy manuals cover methods for dealing with everything from smoking cessation to phobia management, sugar addiction and childhood angst.

My mission is to promote real-life hypnotherapy, making the amazing benefits accessible using my tried and tested methods that work on real modern problems in the real world.

If my awards success has inspired you to consider a career in hypnotherapy, or if you think you could benefit from a course of sessions yourself, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

My 100-day positivity challenge!

A positive mindset is not just vital for individual business success. Collective glass-half-full thinking will be the thing to tip the balance in terms of securing Hull a lasting legacy from our City of Culture 2017 status.

I know from clinical experience the transformative effect thinking the right way can have on every aspect of a person’s life, including how successful they are in business.

And I believe that tackling this collectively is essential to ensuring the city is not held back by its traditional underdog thinking at this pivotal moment in its history.

Hull people are, I believe, some of the most fantastic you could meet.

They are friendly, good-hearted and packed with dry humour and edgy creativity. But the flipside of this is they almost like to sell themselves short, as a coping mechanism in case things don’t quite pan out as they had hoped. They expect the worst so that it won’t bother them too much when it happens!

The reality is, though, that really great things are happening in the city, right now, and to make sure we see this through to the end, we really do need to make sure we take hold of any negative thinking and channel it in the right direction.

This is particularly true in our business community because it is the beating heart of the city’s regeneration.

For the first time, probably ever, we are seeing major investment by big international players; interest from around the globe in what we have to offer in terms of everything from art to property and, at last, some positive PR about what it is really like to spend time here.

If we can grasp that and really, really believe in it, it will transform our fortunes and the way we are perceived all over the country and the world, forever.

This means adopting a growth mindset and being unafraid to take risks in order to learn and overcome our limitations. This was really brought home to me by research I did for my soon-to-be-published book, ‘Go the Hull Way’. I interviewed famous and successful Hull folk including boxer Tommy Coyle, the ‘Bee Lady’, Paul Sewell of Sewell Group and ‘gadget man’ Jonathan Elvidge, about their ingredients for making it. In all cases, it was an attitude of mind that had got them where they are today.
So, who better to try to instil this kind of optimistic outlook into the people of our lovely city, than its entrepreneurs? Hence my challenge to anyone who is in a leadership role in a business or related organisation locally, to help spread some positivity around – my 100-day positivity challenge!

I announced this challenge during my keynote speech for the recent James Legal – The Business 2017 masterclass. Titled Mind Over Matter, I also talked to the 100-or-so businesses who attended about the importance of positive mindset in business and how to achieve it.
Can our businesses influence the mindset of a city? I believe they can be the catalyst for long-term change, and become the role models of a growth mindset for Hull, and rather than ‘pushing’ people to think and behave in a certain way, concentrating on ‘pulling’ them up.
If you’re one of them, I’m asking you to:
Do one, new, positive thing daily that will brighten the day of your employees and customers alike – such as spending an extra 10 minutes asking them how they are, offering to help them with something or giving a little extra of your product or service for free (offering exceptional customer service is arguably the one most influential thing you can do – because this will leave people with a lasting impression of what it’s really like to visit Hull)
Make some iconic changes in your workplace – these could involve removing any negative displays or messages pinned about the place or even sticking up smiley faces to provoke conversations about what you’re doing and what it means to be positive
How many people could we impact collectively? Well, if 100 businesses took up the challenge, and each business dealt with just 20 customers a day, between now and the end of 2017, almost 200,000 people could be impacted by the positivity, creating a ripple effect of an irresistible feelgood factor, renewed confidence and, as a result, increased success.
I’m really interested in hearing from you about the impact your actions have, too. Send interesting facts about comments your customers or team members make that show the positive vibes are being passed on. I’d also like to know how many people you think you’ve reached each month between now and the end of the year. You can send details to think@sheilagranger.com.

Gastric band: Losing weight without surgery – it’s all in the mind

Levels of obesity have been on the rise for decades now, having trebled over the last 30 years, according to nhs.uk and reports from records collected in 2014, which state that one in two women and three out of five men were overweight or obese. It’s becoming such a wide-spread problem that is exacerbated by our modern lifestyles and our tendencies to use the car, spend many hours of the day sitting in front of computer screens and being bombarded by supermarket deals flogging cheap and high-calorie foods.

After dieting and exercise, the last option of drastic surgical methods carry risks of complications but non-invasive therapy – in this instance, gastric band hypnotherapy – offers a natural way to control weight for people trying to lose the pounds without turning to surgery.

Why you should consider gastric band hypnotherapy

For many people, dieting and exercising alone aren’t enough to keep the weight off, so they seek further ways to control their size. At this point, the need for hypnotherapy intervention and a virtual gastric band that can help people lose weight by altering their state of mind, with no physiological impact, is a technique that more people should be aware of in order to take the first steps towards gaining the ideal body shape.

For lots of people, the urge to eat fattening and unhealthy foods stems from their attitudes towards food, which need to be altered through the mind. This is what makes hypnosis an excellent method to address some of the underlying methods for weight gain.

It should also be noted that the virtual gastric band is suitable for a wide range of people, and patients do not have to be classified as obese to undergo hypnosis.

How hypnotherapy can help

A hypnotherapist helps the patient to retrain their mind and alter their eating habits for good rather than performing techniques that have short-term effects only.

This therapy works by convincing the client at a subconscious level that a gastric band operation has been performed. This then causes the patient to believe they have a shrunken stomach, which allows them to feel fuller quicker, thus reducing the amount consumed. All of this happens because the body subsequently responds differently to hunger and the volume of food that can be eaten, as well as retuning the mind to be satisfied with less food. The result of the therapy has been known to facilitate many people’s weight loss.

Sometimes there are reasons in the subconscious for underlying issues that lead to overeating, and we can dig these out to examine patients’ behaviours around food.

Benefits for end user

Those receiving virtual gastric band hypnotherapy will not only be able to shed the pounds, they will help prevent further health complications, some of them long-term, that can arise from being overweight or obese. It also instils a healthier attitude towards diet and lifestyle so that users can change their life for the better without resorting to dieting or surgery, which can sometimes be disruptive to people’s lives.

One potential side effect of surgery is the risk of having to take time off work to recover, whereas employing the virtual gastric band technique means you will have no recovery time to deal with afterwards – nor any of the pain or discomfort sometimes experienced after surgery.

Increasing levels of self-confidence and self-belief are linked to this method because hypnotherapy treatment entails forming a positive body image.

For many people, gastric band hypnotherapy is about empowering them to make the right decisions to lead a healthy lifestyle and keep their bodies trim. In essence, it is a lifestyle change that is non-invasive and equips the patient with techniques that they can then go on to employ in future, and we know it works from clinical trials (results produced a 95% success rate), making it an excellent form of therapy for those struggling with their weight.

Educational performance practitioner: How hypnotherapy can help students perform at their best

Do you remember feeling helpless and out of your depth during your school days? What schoolchildren deal with nowadays due to stress and pressure piled on them to succeed in exams and assessments is somewhat amplified with additional strains that come at them from all directions in daily life. There are many ways that young people can be influenced at the ages where they are most impressionable and so they need that extra bit of help and guidance. The support an educational performance practitioner can provide is priceless for school teachers too, but there is a lack of resources out there, which makes it an excellent area to practise in.

Why you should consider becoming an educational performance practitioner

It’s not just about providing academic support; there’s a need to help children and teenagers of this age with other pressures from society, online channels and peers because it all feeds in.

It’s normal to feel nervous before an exam but for some, the burdens feel heavier and they have no way of releasing the overbearing tensions they feel or counteracting negative thoughts, which is something that can be taught through educational performance enhancement.

Common issues encountered by young people and students include stress and anxiety experienced because of feeling the pressure to perform at their best constantly, which can then lead to underperformance for those who feel overwhelmed on the day of their exam. In the run-up to an exam date, it’s not uncommon for a student to find that they’re experiencing problems with focussing on the task at hand whether it’s revision or retrieving information and so they need to learn the right techniques and physiological skills to regain control and boost their confidence.

How hypnotherapy can help

Training students to utilise coping strategies to control their anxiety sets them in a better place emotionally and means they are in an improved position to regain confidence in their abilities. Likewise, many teachers can experience breakdowns when trying to achieve what seem like challenging targets so they represent another group of people within the sphere that would require the help of an educational performance practitioner.

The aim of an educational performance practitioner is to identify the underlying triggers that cause the unhelpful behaviours.

A lot of the struggles that students deal with stem from inhibiting beliefs and lack of self-confidence. These negative thoughts can be dampened with educational performance mentoring and self-hypnosis. An educational performance practitioner would also train the client to visualise what success looks like and how to get there.

Benefits for end user

While this form of support will surely help a student to achieve their full potential, there’s every chance that this training will help guide them through other high-pressure moments that are bound to come up later in life. Not only does this therapy increase their resilience for the issues at hand, it equips students with life skills that give them a set of tools to help them manage their minds and eliminate thoughts or feelings of failure.

Where you can help a student with their academic performance, the effect on other areas of their life is certainly measurable because their overall emotional well-being is improved.

If the idea of helping pupils and teachers to be happy, healthy and confident in their abilities, and, in turn, allow teachers to support their students accordingly, appeals to you, then training to be an educational performance practitioner will give you the skill set to do so. The world of education needs more practitioners to use a holistic approach when assisting those who pass through the system, to help them to get the grades that they are capable of achieving, and more.

Alcohol: The hypnotherapy method that stops you over-drinking

How much alcohol is too much? Some people turn to alcohol to help them function, whereas others find that they have been gradually increasing their dependency on it and the frequency of their alcohol consumption and therefore need to regain control over their overpowering habits. It’s all too easy to grab a drink at a social function or as part of a celebration but our culture means people’s addictions can simply be overlooked as normal behaviour. Some people have no clue what their daily recommended units allowance is, and if they do know, they may not realise how many or what type of drinks equate to that figure. This makes alcohol addiction a silent but dangerous way to unwind.

The necessary treatment for excessive alcohol consumption involves getting to the root of the issue and addressing why alcohol abuse has become a problem, and this makes it a resourceful area for hypnotherapists to explore.

Why you should consider hypnotherapy for alcohol

Some people want to stop drinking alcohol completely, while others want to cut back for health reasons but whatever the reason, the key to reducing alcohol intake is forming the habits that will help people to make sustainable changes to their mentalities and their thought processes. This is why hypnosis makes a suitable therapy match for those with alcohol addictions.

Problems form when people rely on alcohol. This reliance can encompass anything from experiencing an overwhelming need for alcohol to consuming it to fall asleep, reaching out for alcohol when feeling stressed or simply drinking for the sake of it. Principally, we find that alcohol can lie at the heart of other problems that a client may be dealing with, such as difficulties with money or confidence.

How hypnotherapy can help

Alcohol abuse can be a tricky problem to gauge because it frequently comes down to the person’s ability to recognise that they have a problem. This only scratches the surface however, and in many cases, the person may think that they have exhausted all the options open to them. This is why hypnotherapy for alcohol dependency is a hugely underused resource. Our drinking behaviours can be shaped by the habits formed from the teenage years of drinking. Most people are familiar with the feeling of liberation and invincibility that a drink or two can provide and this is the sentiment that can perpetuate into adulthood, meaning that people feel better with a drink in hand.

When this is the problem, then the solution is to get the person to do something else, and that involves forming new, positive habits and motivations. It is in this way that hypnotherapy nurtures new ways of thinking and forms an effective treatment. Other therapies don’t explore the trigger of these behaviours, which is why they are less effective for people who want to eradicate their addiction for good.

Benefits for end user

Breaking free from alcohol dependency is one of the biggest achievements that hypnotherapy can help with. By relying on positive thoughts alone, hypnosis helps people to change deep-rooted beliefs about themselves and gives the patient strong feelings of self-worth and empowerment. It allows them to see themselves as independent from any ties to alcohol and be free to embrace the powers that come with not relying on it. This leads to the person learning to control their behaviours and allowing themselves to break the cycle that comes with addiction. In fact, some patients who have sought hypnotherapy to reduce alcohol consumption have been known to give up drinking it entirely once they’ve become used to it, which demonstrates the power hypnotherapy can instil in the patient.

For a hypnotherapist, treating alcohol addiction disorders is a sought-after skill that requires a real specialism in the area and a deep understanding about what triggers addictive behaviours. Through changing everything your patient has learnt about alcohol and influencing how they will feel about their future, the importance of your role in empowering them becomes even more distinct.

Keeping the focus on your business through hypnotherapy

People often hear of hypnotherapy employed as a way to treat addictions or to help patients lose weight but fewer people know about the benefits it can have for business owners who wish to maintain a strong focal point on their occupation. It’s a strong tool for helping businessmen and women harness their power, which more people, given the chance, would undoubtedly tap into if they knew about its effectiveness – making it a worthwhile area for hypnotherapists to explore.

Why you should consider hypnotherapy for business leaders

People in business might not always remember to do this, but sometimes they need to clear their heads and organise their thoughts so they can work to their optimum level all the time. Whether that person is hugely successful or perhaps going through a tough patch, hypnotherapy is a stable source of help and a tool that can be used for both personal and professional development.

In fact, according to a Forbes article, one hypnotherapist noted how ‘remarkable it is just how many celebrities – how many CEOs and head of production companies’ use hypnotherapy, so it must be doing something right.

How hypnotherapy can help

Hypnotherapy helps the patient to take an overarching view of their life – both personal and work – to help them understand where their problems or issues stem from. By tailoring the therapy to the patient’s goals, hypnotherapists can change the mindset to transform what might have been troubling situations in the past into new positive experiences.

What we’re seeing more and more of these days is people taking days off work due to stress and anxiety. Fortunately, hypnosis is one of the best non-invasive ways to help patients deal with what is fast becoming one of the most common problems for business people due to the element of self-control it enables the person to regain. As a self-development tool, hypnosis gives the patient the power to tap into their own inner resources and change the course of their immediate situation. In addition to this, during a session, one of the techniques employed allows patients to focus on successes and strengths, and this can be used as an anchor to help boost their confidence with lasting effects.

Benefits for end user

Hypnotherapy is a way to help patients re-balance their minds and show them the right path when things get muddled. In essence, it gives the patient a level of clarity that would not have been so easily attainable had they tried other methods.

The benefits are two-fold in that the end user can achieve clarity and personal empowerment, enabling them to be more productive and make better decisions, but they are also in a much better position to positively influence others in the business through improved communications channels. As an employer, the patient can benefit from building the relationships with their employees and therefore managing their workforce better.

It’s true that people are the driving force behind any successful business and so business owners and leaders need to make sure that they look after their well-being so they can then look after their business.

If you can get the message across to entrepreneurs that investing time and therapy in themselves will pay off in terms of their business, then you will, in turn, attract attention as clients seek you out for help in overcoming their issues in the business world.
